Howling Goat Farms Sales & Reservation Agreement

By placing a deposit or purchasing an animal from Howling Goat Farms, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Reservations & Deposits

A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to reserve a doe or buck kid.
Reservations are free to join; deposits are only collected once your chosen kid is born and available.
For mature animals, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price will hold the animal for up to 14 days (or another agreed timeframe). After this, boarding fees of $50 per week may apply.
Deposits may be transferred to another reservation or rolled over to the following kidding season if your chosen animal is not available.
If you cancel a purchase, fail to arrange timely transportation, or decline a kid due to color, eye color, or wattles, the deposit will be forfeited.
All prices are subject to change as animals age, show, or earn production records. Prices will not change after a deposit is received.

Payments

Full payment is due within 10 days of notification of birth or within 2 weeks of your reservation being fulfilled.
Accepted payment methods: PayPal (Friends & Family, or add 3% to cover fees), Zelle, Venmo (Friends & Family only), or cash. Registration papers will be held until all funds clear.
Payments sent must include your name, contact info, and the animal’s details.

Breeder’s Rights

Howling Goat Farms reserves the right to retain any kid from any breeding at any time.
We also retain the right of first refusal if you decide to sell a goat purchased from us in the future.
We reserve the right to refuse any sale at any time, for any reason, with a full refund of money paid.

Health & Care

Herd health is a top priority:
All incoming animals are quarantined and tested for CAE, CL, and Johne’s.
All goats over 6 months are tested for CAE annually.
Kids are raised on the bottle with goat milk.
Coccidiosis prevention begins at 72 hours and continues daily until weaning.
All kids are disbudded and tattooed (if old enough) before leaving.
We guarantee that goats are healthy at the time of sale. Once an animal leaves our farm, we cannot guarantee future health, production, or quality, as management and environment are beyond our control.

Transportation

All transportation costs are the buyer’s responsibility. Please arrange transport before placing a deposit.
Kids generally leave our farm at 4–6 weeks of age. Goats must be picked up or shipped by this time unless prior arrangements are made.
Boarding beyond this period may incur daily charges.
Ground transport is preferred.
Air transport is available for kids (not adults) for an additional $100 handling fee, plus the cost of a new airline-approved crate, health certificates, and airfare. Payment for all associated costs must be made in full prior to shipping.
Buyers may send an approved crate in advance or reimburse us for purchasing one.
Health certificates, veterinary exams, blood tests, and any additional testing required for transport are the responsibility of the buyer.

Registration

All does and bucks will be registered with the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) at the owners expense. Registration papers will be provided at pickup, shipping, or mailed once available.
Wethers/pet goats will not be registered.
Naming of kids must follow our herd’s naming conventions. Buyers may select names within these guidelines, subject to our approval.

Special Conditions

Goats are herd animals and will not be sold singly unless the buyer already owns goats.

Photos & Promotion

Buyers are welcome to use photos of animals purchased from our herd with credit given to Howling Goat Farms.

Final Notes

We are committed to producing healthy, correct, and productive Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. While we cannot guarantee future performance or show success, we are always available for advice and support to help you and your animals succeed.
